43x recoil spring fits poorly. Hi r/Glocks! I recently picked up a 43x (first Glock) and am curious about the fit of the recoil spring. When I opened it up to safety check and clean it after purchasing, I noticed the recoil spring was loosely seated on the barrel. It was being held by the lower arm of the barrel (nearest the feed ramp).This is the usual cause for the trigger not resetting after somebody's worked on these newer/later Glocks. I had problems with my 43X when I first got it. I sent it back to Glock and it's been perfect since then. Email Glock. They'll send you a PDF to fill out. You email it back to them, then they'll send you a pre-paid shipping label for FedEx. It took exactly two weeks to get mine back. They damn near replaced every part on mine.

The 43x is designed to give people a single stack 9mm Glock option with a longer grip and higher capacity than the 43. They have a 43 and a 48, and if you swap the slides, you have a 43x. Im usually more into the longer barrel and shorter grip for a carry gun, but a lot of people like longer grip and shorter barrel, so they sell that.

To test, one pushes down the firing pin safety with one's finger and lightly shakes the slide front to rear. The firing pin should easily move back and force and protrude through the hole in the breach face for 1/16th of an inch or so. It did not.The box says they sent the correct one. Figured I’d ask here before I contact GlockStore. UPDATE!!! A factory 43x mag will actually hold 11 rounds. BUT it will swell the top of the mag just enough that it puts pressure on the mag release making it not work right and not hold the mag in either. Who knew! 🤷🏻‍♂️.
