BUT, when I went to looking for my first composite stock gun, I went home with a Benelli Super Nova. They had a black version in the rack.The Mossberg 500 and 870Expresses are the big-mart bargains, the 835, nova, and Rem 870 SPS are between these two groups in price and quality. That said, I have no complaints with my nova. Once you get the forearm rattle fixed it's a fine, functional gun. ... Small victories, but victories none the less.
