The Obi200 allows you to pay for service with various providers too, but currently, with Google Voice, it is entirely free to make calls throughout the US and Canada. The day may come when Google does away with its service. Or decides to start charging for it. For the moment though, calls in the US and Canada are free for me to make or receive.

You'll need to configure Google Voice on the Obitalk web portal. You would need to purchase an OBiLINE adapter so you would have an FXO port to connect to the phone port on your Comcast modem. The two that were present are Obitalk and Simon Telephonics. I removed both of them. I left that tab open (after going back to google voice page) and switched to the Obitalk tab. I then clicked SP1, clicked the Google Voice setup option (making sure to choose my Google Voice google account).
