For me the most critical difference is the charging handle. Minus the short stroke gas piston, the only true 180 feature they kept was the absolute worst one. If you file down the feed lips of the mags it runs flawless. Lancer 300 specific mags run great with no mods. Those mags are used to run subs, if I use standard 5.56 P mags, lancer, PSA aluminum mags, or any other mags with supers it runs flawless.
